Simon Henderson, the former head of UK buyouts at European Capital who stepped down from the troubled private equity firm two years ago, has resurfaced at US buyout group TPG Capital.

Henderson joined TPG this month as a London-based partner. He will focus on UK mid-market and large buyouts, and reports to Philippe Costeletos, co-head of TPG in Europe, according to a source. Henderson has spent two years on the sidelines.
