US qualified lawyer, Alex Bafi, will join the London office of Herbert Smith in April as part of the international law firm's drive to be at the forefront of multi-jurisdictional corporate finance.

Bafi leaves the London office of leading US law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell on Friday and will join Herbert Smith as partner from April 2nd. He will work alongside fellow US qualified corporate finance lawyers Jim Wickenden and Allen Hanen. Wickenden practised at leading Wall Street law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and Hanen also practiced at Davis Polk. Both were with JP Morgan from 1993 to 1999 before joining Herbert Smith.
