The UK is far from meeting the four tests that need to be passed in order for the government to reasonably consider starting to lift lockdown restrictions, an NHS official has warned.
These include a significant reduction in case numbers, NHS capacity reaching manageable levels, sufficient progress with vaccination rollout and a set of protections put in place to identify and control new coronavirus variants.
