Here is the Renaissance CEO’s resignation letter

Robert Mercer, co-chief executive of the $45bn quantitative hedge fund Renaissance Technologies, resigned from his role today in a letter to both investors and employees.

Mercer joined the firm in the early 1990s and became its co-CEO alongside Peter Brown in 2009, following the retirement of co-founder James Simons.
