Here’s who will decide on Tom Hayes’ final battle to quash his Libor conviction

A barrister specialising in counter-terrorism has been tasked with deciding on the next steps in the case of convicted Libor rigger Tom Hayes.

The Criminal Cases Review Commission, an independent body responsible for investigating suspected miscarriages of justice, has appointed Robert Ward QC, to lead the final stages of its years-long review into Hayes' sentencing, according to an email from the CCRC to Hayes’ lawyer Karen Todner on 5 February.
