Here’s why 2020 was the worst year for the FTSE 100 since the 2008 crash

The FTSE 100 closed trading for the year at 6,460, having fallen 1.45% on 31 December and racking up a total loss of 14.34% for 2020.

The year has been the worst year for financial markets in London since the financial crisis in 2008.
