European investors will have access to Chinese “sunshine” fund managers for the first time, following the launch of a fund by Hong Kong-based asset manager CSOP and Hermes.
CSOP and UK-based Hermes Investment Management have both invested seed money in the CSOP Hermes China A-Share Fund, an Ireland-domiciled Ucits fund. The fund will invest in Chinese shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange, known as A-Shares. It was launched this month and has raised $80 million.
