Hermes Focus starts small companies fund

Hermes, the London-based investment manager, is seeking to raise up to £100m (€160.2m) for a new fund specialising in UK small company stocks through its Hermes Focus Asset Management arm.

Paul Harrison will lead the new fund. He worked at Arthur Andersen and previously spent six years with quoted sports goods company Hi-Tec Sports, including three years as chief executive. Harrison helped the firm go private last year.
