Hermes hires duo to meet private equity demand

Hermes Private Equity, the UK buyout arm of the BT Pension Scheme, has expanded its direct investment team to meet its owner’s increased appetite for the asset class.

Hermes has hired Peter Gissel as a partner and Mark Nunny as an investment manager to strengthen its mid-market and growth capital private equity team. The hires bring the team to three partners and three investment managers. The firm also has two investment directors.
