Hermes, the UK corporate governance specialist owned by the BT pension scheme, has restructured its team at a time when the UK government is stressing the need to commit resources to governance issues.

Michelle Edkins, formerly director of corporate governance at Hermes, has joined the firm's Focus Asset Management firm in the new role of director of institutional relations.
