Hewitt Associates, the consultant firm hit by a spate of recent departures, has named a new chairman and chief executive two months after the former head retired suddenly.

Russell Fradin, most recently president and chief executive at financial services outsourcing firm Bisys Group, will replace former chairman and chief executive Dale Gifford. He starts on September 5.
