Hoffen replaces Goldberg at Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley Dean Witter has moved quickly to shore up its private equity operations, following the resignation of Alan Goldberg to start his own company.

Howard Hoffen, a 16-year veteran of the US firm, will succeed Goldberg, to whom he reported as managing director.
