Hogan & Hartson, the US-based law firm, has hired George Metaxas, former managing partner of the Brussels office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, to help boost its expanding European communications and competition practice.

Metaxas, who joins as a partner, will help develop the practice amid increased demand for competition advice as national and international regulations grow.
