Hogan & Hartson, the law firm that advises on private equity and other M&A deals, has beefed up its presence in Germany with the opening of an office in Munich.

The initiative is Hogan & Hartson's second office in Germany after Berlin and comes in response to an increase in activity in the media and entertainment sectors. The office will open in the first quarter of 2004.
