3i Group is expected to announce tomorrow the successor to Michael Queen as managing partner of 3i’s infrastructure business, with senior partner Cressida Hogg emerging as among the frontrunners to take the role.

Hogg is regarded as one of the favourites to succeed, according to a source close to the company. She was one of the initial members of the infrastructure team when it was set up by Queen in 2005 while he was head of 3i's growth capital business.
