The US House of Representatives will vote today on the impeachment of President Donald Trump, making him the first US president to suffer the proceedings twice.

The move, post the violence and siege of the US Capitol on 6 January, comes as his deputy Vice President Mike Pence refused to oust America's leader, saying in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that it would set a "terrible precedent". Pence's letter came in response to a House vote calling on him and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment.
