Barclays Capital has recruited Mark Howard from Lehman Brothers to head its credit research team following the decision by Gary Jenkins, the debt-focused UK investment bank's former global head of credit research, to take a sabbatical.
Sources at Barclays confirmed that Jenkins, who is on holiday this week, will start a sabbatical next week. He has worked in the bank's London office as head of the global research team for more than six years and is one of the most well-known bankers in the credit research arena.
