HSBC brings in former regulator to monitor trader conduct

HSBC has recruited a Bank of England veteran, who worked on a global code designed to clean up behaviour in the foreign exchange market, to help oversee conduct within its trading business.

Chris Salmon will become global chief control officer for global markets at the UK bank, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
