HSBC exits Auto Windscreens with healthy return

HSBC's private equity arm has made a healthy return on its £112m (€181m) trade sale of Auto Windscreens, the windscreen replacement specialists, to Lex Services.

The private equity firm bought Auto Windscreens in August 1998 for £64.8m in cash and assumed £12.4m of debt, according to the Regulatory News Service.
