HSBC Securities, the US arm of the investment bank, has hired two to its international equities teams in the US as part of drive to target emerging markets business.

Alexander Shepard, formerly a managing director and deputy head of equities trading and sales at ABN Amro in New York, joins HSBC in a similar role covering the Americas.
