HSBC hands Blackburn top risk role as shake-up continues

The UK lender has given the leading compliance job to a 20-year veteran

HSBC has named 20-year veteran Richard Blackburn as its group chief risk and compliance officer as the UK lender continues to reshape its senior team.

Blackburn has been holding the role on an interim basis since January, when HSBC shook up it senior ranks under chief executive Georges Elhedery, who is cutting costs and reshaping the UK lender.
