HSBC Alternative Investments, the private equity, real estate and hedge fund arm of the UK bank, has hired a former executive from private equity firm Coller Capital.

Kutty Dutta joined HSBC Alternative Investments Limited, known as Hail, on Monday as a director, a spokeswoman for HSBC confirmed. He will be responsible for the origination and due diligence of secondary, primary and co-investment opportunities in private equity for HSBC's private and institutional clients.
