HSBC hires Kirk from Deutsche Bank to head new research team

HSBC has poached a senior researcher from Deutsche Bank to lead a new team that will bring together its own analysts as well as academics and behavioural scientists.

The UK lender has named Stuart Kirk as global head of research and insights, according to a statement from the bank. He will work within its asset management unit, leading a new division called AlphaLabs, which aims to combine traditional research with new investment approaches and technologies.
