HSBC hired a senior dealmaker from Citigroup to lead its investment bank in the Americas, a move that follows a shake-up at the top of the division earlier this year.
Gerry Keefe will take up the role heading the UK lender's global banking unit in the Americas from January next year, reporting into Greg Guyett, co-head of its global banking and markets business, and HSBC's chief executive in the region Michael Roberts, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
