HSBC has hired Christophe Chazot, head of proprietary trading at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, as global head of structured equity.

Chazot joined DrKW in 1999 and until 2003 he was global head of equity derivatives. Prior to joining DrKW he was global head of foreign exchange options at Bankers Trust. From 1991 to 1993 he worked at Barclays de Zoete Wedd as a swaps trader.
