With the launch of its new market neutral hedge fund expected later this year, HSBC Alternative Investments has appointed Vincent Bourgeois and Michael O'Mara to jointly manage the new fund.

Both men join from Bessent Capital in the UK, where Bourgeois was managing director of equity research and O'Mara was a financial analyst.
