UK-based asset manager HSBC Investments has hired a head of institutional sales from the European arm of Putnam Investments, along with the former head of marketing in Europe from quant specialist Axa Rosenberg.

David Puddle has returned to HSBC in a newly-created role as head of institutional sales after 15 years as managing director at Putnam Investments. He reports to Kathleen Currie, managing director of institutional at HSBC Investments in the UK.
