HSBC has appointed its chairman of equity capital markets as head of global banking for the Asia-Pacific region, amid a wave of senior changes triggered by the departure of two senior bankers in the US.

Russell Julius, formerly chairman of equity capital markets, is replacing Frank Slevin as head of global banking for the Asia-Pacific region.
