HSBC lifts ban on personal mobile phones for traders

HSBC has relaxed its restrictions on mobile phones on its trading floors in a bid to allow employees to respond swiftly to emergency situations outside the workplace.

The move comes amid City regulators’ continued scrutiny of investment banks’ policies for preventing the inappropriate sharing of sensitive information with third parties.
