HSBC makes two Americas research hires

HSBC has made two appointments in global research for the Americas. Ben Laidler has been hired as head of research for Americas based in New York. He previously worked at JP Morgan where as head of Latin America equity research and strategy. He succeeds Patrick Boucher, who has been appointed to a new global role as head of product management, equity research. He was previously head of equity research for Latin America at Santander.
