HSBC has appointed Thorsten Michalik as chief executive of its asset management business for the UK, Europe and the Americas.

Michalik, who was previously CEO of HSBC’s asset management business in Germany, has worked at the fund unit of the UK bank since 2019, when he joined as head of wholesale.
