HSBC Private Equity, the European private equity arm of HSBC, has led the €97m ($85m) management buy-out of Risdon Pharma, the European plastic packaging firm, from Crown Cork & Seal.

Mezzanine and senior debt was provided by Crédit Industriel et Commercial. The financing package includes €12m to support the firm's growth plans and a €6m revolving facility. Details of the debt-to-equity split were not disclosed.
