HSBC recruits Google engineer to help build digital bank

HSBC, which is preparing the launch of a new robo-advisory service for retail savers, has brought in a former Google executive to help with its push into digital banking.

Mike Warriner joined HSBC's retail banking and wealth management digital division as chief information officer earlier this month, according to a statement.
