Metal head among HSBC research departures

Three senior members of the bank's research team in London have left, according to people familiar with the situation

Three senior members of HSBC's research team in London – including its top metals and mining analyst – have left the bank, according to people familiar with the situation.

Andrew Keen, global head of metals and mining research, has been registered as inactive on the UK's Financial Services Register since April 8. Peter Hitchens, a senior oil and gas analyst, and Robert Murphy, who covered investment banks, were registered as inactive around the same time.
