HSBC has shaken up its European equity-linked team, promoting a long-serving banker to a senior role in New York.
Ilyas Amlani, head of equity-linked in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the UK lender, will now also take on the Americas, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News. He will move to New York to "provide renewed focus on our origination efforts in the Americas, the largest equity-linked market globally," the memo said.
