HSBC taps senior dealmakers to help fund Covid-19 vaccine rollout

HSBC has created a crack team of some of its most senior dealmakers in a bid use its financial clout to help move millions of doses of Covid-19 vaccines around the world.

The UK lender is bringing together around a dozen of its most senior investment bankers, starting a working group it hopes will provide financing and other banking services to governments, pharmaceutical companies and logistics firms to ensure coronavirus vaccines are produced and distributed, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
