HSBC will not bring any more of its employees back to its UK offices until September at the earliest, as the UK lender continues to take a cautious approach to unwinding its working from home arrangements even as rivals have been slowly ramping up staff numbers.

In a memo to staff on 29 July, the bank said that will cap the proportion of returning employees in its UK offices at 20%.
