HSBC is looking to redouble its push into equity capital markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa under new regional division head Adrian Lewis.

Lewis, a former ECM banker at UBS who joined HSBC at the end of last month, is targeting growth in the bank's UK ECM and corporate broking franchise and in its financial institutions group, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
