HSBC to restructure equities business

HSBC is to review its equities business in a move that may lead to the integration of cash equities with the bank's global markets and corporate finance businesses.

John Studzinski, who joined three months ago to oversee corporate finance, and Stuart Gulliver, the head of fixed income who recently relocated from Asia, have commissioned the review as part of a broader strategic shake-up of investment banking at the world's second biggest bank.
