HSBC's long-serving head of global banking for Europe, Philippe Henry, is stepping down from the bank after 32 years.

The UK lender has kick-started an external search for Henry's replacement, according to a memo announcing his retirement, seen by Financial News. Henry was an instrumental figure in HSBC's Brexit planning and more recently had been handed responsibility for an ambitious new project at the bank to help finance and distribute Covid-19 vaccines.
