HSBC’s global trading chief to retire

HSBC’s global markets chief is quitting after just over four years in the role, to retire from banking after three decades in the industry.

Thibaut de Roux, global head of markets, will leave the bank in September and retire from banking, according to a memo reviewed by Financial News. An HSBC spokesman confirmed the contents of the memo, which was signed by Samir Assaf, chief executive of global banking and markets.
