HSBC's Green hits out at 'casino capitalism'

HSBC's chairman this week hit out at "casino capitalism" and lamented how income and asset bubbles had been "underpinned by ephemeral trading and financial instruments, much of which in the end served no real economic purpose".

Stephen Green also criticised bankers who - prior to the financial crisis - pushed long term concerns aside, taking the view that "I'll be gone, you'll be gone".
