Herbert Smith Freehills’ chair says her firm’s decision to raise pay for newly qualified lawyers to £120,000 is prudent, despite fears of a recession.

“We are determined to continue to be ambitious as a firm,” Rebecca Maslen-Stannage told Financial News.
