Deutsche Börse’s outgoing chief executive Theodor Weimer said there is a growing gulf between European and US capital markets, amid a run of European firms moving their listings to New York.

“The competitive disadvantage compared to the US market has become huge,” Weimer said while speaking at the exchange group’s AGM on 14 May.
