John Hunt has quit his role as global head of the industry strategies group at Lehman Brothers to join the debt-focused investment banking team at Barclays Capital in New York as a managing director in fthe financial institutions group.

In his new role Hunt will be responsible for covering Barclays Capital's clients in the bank and insurance sector. He will report to Eric Jaeger, head of financial institutions investment banking.
