For her 50th birthday, Christine Chow decided to treat herself to a 10-day horseback riding excursion in Namibia. 

Aimed at thrill seekers and those who like a challenge, the horseback safari involves a 300-kilometre trek across the unspoilt Namib desert, believed to be the oldest on Earth.
