The former chairman of global capital markets at JP Morgan today begins his bid to overturn an FSA fine and ruling that he committed market abuse

Ian Hannam, the former chairman of global capital markets at JP Morgan, today began his bid to overturn a Financial Services Authority fine and ruling that he committed market abuse by disclosing inside information about a UK-listed oil and gas company that he and the bank were advising.

Hannam and the regulator are presenting their cases at a central London tribunal hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice's Rolls Building.
