Bank of America Merrill Lynch has vaulted to the top of the European bookrunning rankings after completing a $3.3bn share sale in Russia's government-owned bank VTB, making it this week's investment banking team of the week.

The ECM team, led in Europe, Middle East and Africa by Craig Coben, alongside chairman of global capital markets Rupert Hume-Kendall and head of syndicate Oliver Holbourn, has enjoyed a busy few days, which follows a good start to the year.
