IBM wins two European bank deals

IBM, the global IT group, is to provide two European banks with outsourced technology services, the latest in a string of deals where banks have looked to cut costs through outsourcing non-core operations.

HSH Nordbank, the German bank, has signed a five-year agreement worth €100m ($120m) with IBM, which will design, host and operate the bank's trading and security systems as well as run its technology hardware.
