Global inter-dealer broker Icap has taken another step towards becoming the world’s leading full-service brokerage, with the unveiling of an algorithmic trading platform; further extending its equities business.

The Icap ALX platform, unveiled earlier this week by the broker's stocks business, Icap Equities, is set to provide a range of "sophisticated" trading algorithms for its equities clients.
